PTA fundraising proceeds are used for projects both in and out of the classroom to enable PCE to provide the highest quality education possible.

This year's purchases include:

  • Spanish Teacher for grades K-2nd
  • Post-construction classroom improvements
  • Field trip bus money for each grade level
  • Bluebonnet books for the library
  • Books for the library & teacher’s classrooms
  • Teacher Grants which subsidize the funding that the district provides for classroom needs
  • Substitute teachers which allow our teachers to hold Parent/Teacher conferences during their work day
  • Curriculum development for Discovery Point, the new outdoor classroom completed in September 2010
  • Writer’s Workshop funds for author visits
  • Hospitality events such as the Back to School Social, Dads and Donuts, Moms and Muffins
  • Teacher appreciation
