What families are saying about our school

Prairie Creek Elementary has been "home base"to all three of my sons and has laid the foundation and given them the confidence and sense of community they have all needed to get started on the right foot as they travel down their own educational paths. As I am wrapping up the first week of my 13th consecutive year at Prairie Creek, I am thrilled to say that not only has the school met the very diverse needs of my three sons but also managed to evolve and change as the school and neighborhood population has evolved and changed. Prairie Creek Elementary was the reason we chose to live where we live. The friendships and supportwe've gotten in this neighborhood is the reason we choose to stay...even after our sons leave the comfort of PCE!

In 2004, our family moved to Prairie Creek; our daughters were 4 and 1. My husband attended Prairie Creek and we knew it was where we wanted our daughters to grow up. When our oldest started school in 2005, we were very pleased with the class sizes and the wonderful environment the school offered. We love that we live in a close-knit neighborhood, full of friends. Both girls are still at Prairie Creek and we are still thrilled with our decision!

When our oldest daughter was 2 years old, we started looking at our options for schools. Many people in our Lakewood neighborhood sent their kids to private schools, but we saw that their friends and activities were spread all over the Dallas area. We knew we were looking for a public school that offered challenging education and a friendly community. After studying the elementary schools in the Richardson School District, we were drawn to Prairie Creek because of the small class sizes, the school environment and unique offerings like the Sign Choir. We moved to the neighborhood in 1999. The beautiful area where we live and the wonderful friends we’ve made have been icing on the cake. It’s been 13 years since we moved to Prairie Creek – we still have 1 kid at PCE and our other two have moved on through Junior High to High School. They are continuing to flourish in the RISD school system. This has been a great decision for every member of our family!

Our Family has just spent our first year at PCE and living in this fantastic neighborhood! When we were deciding to move from Dallas we considered many neighborhoods but fell in love with Prairie Creek the first time we saw it! When we heard about how phenomenal the school was we knew we had to live here! We have not been disappointed- Our friends from Dallas come to visit us and quite frankly are amazed and envious of what a great neighborhood and school we have! PCE gives you a private school quality education- without having to pay the private school costs! The Principal and Teachers really care about your child and work hand in hand with PCE families to deliver the best education and experience for each individual child- We feel extremely blessed to be able to be a part of such a great school and neighborhood.
