What families are saying about our school
When our oldest daughter was 2 years old, we started
looking at our options for schools. Many people in our
Lakewood neighborhood sent their kids to private
schools, but we saw that their friends and activities
were spread all over the Dallas area. We knew we were
looking for a public school that offered challenging
education and a friendly community. After studying the
elementary schools in the Richardson School District, we
were drawn to Prairie Creek because of the small class
sizes, the school environment and unique offerings like
the Sign Choir. We moved to the neighborhood in 1999.
The beautiful area where we live and the wonderful
friends we’ve made have been icing on the cake. Its been
8 years since we moved to Prairie Creek – we still have
2 kids at PCE and our oldest is in Junior High. This has
been a great decision for every member of our family!

The Miller Family
Our family joined the Prairie Creek Elementary family
five years ago when my husband was relocated to Dallas
from Atlanta, GA. Our oldest daughter was entering the
third grade and our youngest daughter was just beginning
Kindergarten. We picked three elementary schools to
visit. We used D Magazine’s list of the best schools and
did our research by reviewing the schools test scores.
But we also had to find an area that “neighbored” and
felt like home. We picked Prairie Creek and were
welcomed with open arms. We have lived here now for
almost five years, I am still thrilled with the school
and the community.
